Outsourcing News
by Carol Kendrick on February 26, 2007

It might surprise you to know that the public sector has more number of outsourcing contracts as compared to private companies. This is true for countries Australia and New Zealand.
According to the research done by ITNewcom, the public sector has more outsourcing contracts than private-owned companies. Statistics shows that the private sector only spends 3% for outsourcing while the public sector has a spending rate of 7.1%. The results were based on the 31 organizations which participated in the study.
Personally, I think that the public sector is more keen on saving money hence the more number of outsourcing deals. On the other hand, I believe that private companies are not opposed to outsourcing but they are rather taking their time thinking about their outsourcing decision.
