The outsourcing issue has "cooled down" for some time but all that is about to change as the political situation in the US have altered a little.

The recent 2006 Congressional elections showed the Democrats having control in the US Senate which could be the reason why outsourcing could become a hot topic for next year. It looks like outsourcing needs to gear up for a PR battle next year.

Though there could be threats in regards to the existing regulation regarding outsourcing, one thing is for certain-outsourcing is irreversible. Politicians could attempt to rebirth the animosity regarding the issue which could only ruffle its feathers but regardless of that, outsourcing is here to stay.
