Aside from the usual benefits of outsourcing, there are added benefits from this kind of business strategy.

These added benefits was discussed in the research report done by global market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC). According to the report, outsourcing makes companies more agile and effective in their operations. Aside from that, companies should also find a different approach when it comes to outsourcing so that the additional benefits mentioned would be actualized.

IDC also mentioned this reminder which I think is very helpful for companies:
"Outsourcing providers will need to include more flexible and new service capabilities, develop a new breed of partnerships with software and system providers, and seek new customers in the SMB and consumer spaces, as well as emerging markets with entirely new business models."
