The Future of R&D
Filed in archive Outsourcing Advisors on February 27, 2007
Some people predicts that the future of R&R only lies on these two countries: China and India. This article written by Dennis Posadas showed that there is indeed room for one more.
The Philippines was the country mentioned as a worthy adversary in terms of providing R&D (research and development) for companies who wants to outsource this particular function. According to the writer, the quality work that this country provides would be the main reason why it should join the ranks of India and China in terms of outsourcing R&D.
Personally, I agree with the writer's sentiment because of the achievements that Filipino workers have in terms of R&D. Some of these achievements include a research paper depicting a new technique for examining microchips and the newly-developed software which helps in the teaching of Java computer language.
These examples show considerable potential which I believe, should be explored much further.
