The research Report
entitled "The Future of Outsourcing" done by Datamonitor focuses on the experiences that companies have learned from outsourcing and what are the things which could shape the future of the said industry. The new outsourcing report revealed interesting information in regards to the outsourcing industry.Datamonitor revealed that Western domestic contact center outsourcing is experiencing a slow growth but outsourcing in general would still continue to grow across all vertical markets. On the other hand, BestShoring was identified as the best outsourcing strategy in the market.
Aside from that, the report also evaluated outsourcing in different industries which includes the Automotive, Energy, Healthcare, technology and Financial Service markets. Some highlights of the report are as follows:
-Sales force outsourcing is considered as a "common practice" and a "tactical maneuver" in the pharmaceutical industry
-Most firms utilize the contract sales organizations (CSOs) in order to meet their short and long-term goals when outsourcing.
-Majority of US and Western Europe investors have adopted the nearshore model that would help them in moving their operations to cheaper yet quality-wise locations
These results just showed that the outsourcing industry has taken on a different dimension, proving that it is more than just a cost-cutting strategy. I just hope that this report would be able to educate people who are totally unaware of the outsourcing industry.
