The 25 Most Dangerous Places for Outsourcing
Filed in archive Believe It or Not by Gary Zeiss, Esq. on February 26, 2009
An interesting article popped up in Network World today highlighting the 25 most dangerous places for outsourcing. In addition to simply listing 25 areas with high crime or high risk of terrorist attack, the list also broke down the list the risks by a number of categories.

Of course, lists like this are speculative, at best, but they do highlight something that many corporations fail to fully grasp - when your critical information is being held offshore, the effect of world events can increase dramatically.

Clearly, this article shouldn't be used to justify a "no outsourcing" mentality - such an approach is well out of tune with the times. However, it is useful as a reminder that contingency plans should be treated as critical aspects of any business outsourcing.
