Tata Consultancy Services to set up 200 million global delivery center

India-based Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a $200 million deal with ABN Amro. Under the agreement, TCS will set up a global delivery center (GDC) in brazil by March 2006.
S. Ramadorai, TCS CEO said, "We have just set up a GDC at Luxemberg and will set up another one in Sao Paulo, Brazil to undertake part of the ABN Amro outsourcing deal before March next year." He added that TCS will also work on ABN Amro's Mumbai and Bangalore centers.
Related to this, ABN Amro has signed a 5-year agreement with TCS (along with IBM, Accenture, Infosys and Patni Computers) to manage and develop the banking major's systems. In the coming months, TCS plans to hire more professionals for its new acquisitions, domestic centers and overseas operations.
