Spanco Telesystems and Solutions Ltd was awarded a 3-year, Rs five crore outsourcing contract by Air India. Spanco (under its domestic call center arm Sparsh) is already providing inbound customer service to all domestic passengers of Air India, and operates from its call centers in Mumbai and Gurgaon.
Under the contract, Spanco handles inbound services such as calls relating to flight information, booking and reservations, hotel and limo bookings, baggage, and tele-check-in and complaints. The deal also marks the company's domestic call center operations in aviation.
In 2004, Spanco's international call center Respondez has received its own outsourcing contract from Air India to provide similar services for passengers from the UK, USA and Canada.
