Sodexho has been ranked number two among the leading global outsourcing providers by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). The food and management services company was also named number one in the "Facility Services" and "Real Estate and Capital asset management" categories.

And although IBM received a higher overall ranking, the IAOP stated that Sodexho was "hot on (IBM's) heels" and received " high marks across the board ".

Companies were ranked based on 18 criteria including revenue growth, number of employees, workforce skills and training, technical and business certifications, the track record of the management team and the quality of customer services. The "Global Outsourcing 100" list can be seen in Fortune Magazine.

Sodexho Alliance has more than 324,000 employees on 26,700 sites in 76 countries. For Fiscal Year 2005, the company reached sales of 11.7 billion euros.
