Sin num. 4:Outsourcing Important Tasks
Filed in archive Outsourcing Issues on November 28, 2006
The main purpose of outsourcing is to help companies in focusing more on their expertise or as they call it "vital functions". Outsourcing these tasks would mean failure not only in the outsourcing deal but with the whole operation as well.
Take for example, a marketing company still has to deal with HR-related tasks like compensations and benefits because they are a company even if their expertise lies on marketing. These HR-related tasks should be the one to be outsourced in order for the company to concentrate their efforts on marketing. Unable to recognize which tasks are important and which are not is a grave sin in outsourcing.
Now, why do I say so? It is because of the risks related in outsourcing. If you manage to pass valuable information and data, the chances of other people having access to it would be high.
