Should India Worry?
Filed in archive Outsourcing Issues on December 11, 2006
Lately, news regarding different countries taking their share in the outsourcing market are rapidly increasing. In fact, almost all of the countries in Asia. Africa, and Eastern Europe have expressed their intentions of becoming the next outsourcing hub.
This leads me to the question of whether or not India should worry about the competition they have with outsourcing. The rising wage rate in India is one of the factors which could affect its stand as an outsourcing destination. There are also the usual problems in outsourcing which includes:
-language capability issues
-western business understanding
-cultural fit
-location suitability
There is also the issue of shortage in outsourcing employees because of the lack of skill of Indian outsourcing employees. India should be able to answer the issues thrown at them in order to ensure that by the next year, they still reign the outsourcing market.
