Selective Outsourcing is In

A new research shows that more and more companies are opting for "selective outsourcing" which means that companies are hiring different outsourcing providers for different outsourcing tasks. The research was done by Watson Wyatt.

The changing trend in outsourcing just shows that companies are getting smarter when it comes to outsourcing. Before, companies were content of only one outsourcing provider doing all the outsourcing tasks they need. Nowadays, selective outsourcing is in.

The reason why selective outsourcing is in? Variety. Of course, companies are always looking out for what is best for them which leads them to practice selective outsourcing. Outsourcing providers have their own "specialization" and this is one factor these companies would like to take advantage of when outsourcing.

I think another reason this is a healthy change and trend is that companies are finding niche services that can directly have an immediate affect upon their needs.

Before it seems there was the embracing of a general provider of services until the market caught up with the demand. This is good to see.
