Is your outsourcing deal secured enough?
This is probably one of the most important questions that you need to address when forming an outsourcing deal or even when thinking of outsourcing. Security in outsourcing does not only pertain to visible security because it also includes protecting important information and data from people who wants to take advantage of it.
In line with this, there are now several procedures implemented to ensure that there are every outsourcing transaction and work done are secured. One of which is limiting internet access to outsourcing employees as well as their access to vital information in the business.
Suvradeep Bhattacharjee, a London-based analyst suggested that one should look for an outsourcing provider which conforms with international security standards. One standard which he mentioned was ISO 27001:2005. ISO or International Standardization Organization is a group which sets standards for numerous business processes in different areas like transportation, quality controls, safety, etc.
For a more secured transaction, firms with outsourcing in their minds should make sure which information should be kept in their basecamp so that security would be more or less in their control.
