One of the reasons why companies opt to outsource is because of efficiency purposes.

Aside from cost-saving, efficiency is pointed out as another factor why companies are outsourcing. This is because of the time that it could save when such tasks are outsourced and how these tasks would be maximized to its full potential.

One example of such company is New Zealand's APN. According to its CEO Martin Simons, efficiency and not money is their motive. He also mentioned that outsourcing would make "running the company's newspapers more efficiently and expects other publishers to follow suit, as it enables the content to be integrated across other media packages."
