R&D Outsourcing Prioritizes on Skill

Outsourcing Research and Development (R&D) is becoming a popular practice for firms. Wipro, an Indian IT services company recently made a study focusing on the reasons why R&D outsourcing is becoming popular.

One of the reasons identified in the study was the chance of finding out the different skills and capabilities that outsourcing destinations have. Aside from that, the study also showed that through selecting an experienced and knowledgeable R&D partner would help the firm in achieving their "outsourcing strategy" as well as in improving their services and products.

These results indicate a change in terms of outsourcing R&D. Debra Floyd, chief operating officer for Outsourcing Center remarked that the study shows the change in "development strategies".
