Poised for Growth? What the Suppliers are Expecting.

In a recent article, Camille Bersola of Offshore Advisor, highlighted the fact that companies in India are beginning to hire again, expecting a growth fueled by pent-up demand created during the recessionary period of 2008-2009.
Two large players, Accenture and Tata Consultancy Services, are looking to hire approximately 8,000 new staff members in the near future, fueling speculation of a turnaround in the segment. Siddharth Pai, of TPI, also agreed, stating that “global outsourcing is likely to get better soon,” leading to an economic recovery within the Indian BPO segment.
In addition to in-country growth, Indian firms are beginning to expand overseas to near-shore markets. Infosys, for example, is establishing a second service center in Mexico intended primarily to serve North American and Latin American markets.
