Philippines: The Next India?
It seems like outsourcing is looking favorably towards the Philippines as a recent study showed that it has the potential to develop into a 3 billion-dollar industry.

The outsourcing sector in the Philippines currently has an estimate of 200,000 people working in the outsourcing sector. Though the figures are still far as compared to India's 750,000 Employment rate, the Philippines seems to be fast approaching this phase.

The reason why the Philippines is most likely to be the next India is because of the cost-saving advantage that companies experience. As compared to India, the rates in this country is lower but this could change especially if the outsourcing industry develops rapidly.

One should take note however that not only call center operations are being outsourced in the Philippines. Some "higher-end" tasks are now being outsourced like legal services, Web design, medical transcription, software development, animation, and shared services.
