Africa is trying to make a name for itself in the global offshore outsourcing marketplace. As with other locations in the world, the citizens of the African continent are very interested in the billions of dollars that multinational corporations can offer in trade for services.
What makes africa a viable option? Language for one. Command of the English language is generally strong. In addition, while a North American might detect an accent, it would normally not pose a problem in communication.
In addition, according to Anton Groom of MBS Outsourcing, the geographic position of Africa is a benefit:
... there is also a drive to follow the sun, to allow them to offer services 24/7 (24 hours, seven days a week). "It therefore makes sense to have offices located in the three primary time zones,"

There is another model to business success other than outsourcing. And it's INsourcing. Companies can invest in the source of their success: Staff, Customers and Community.
Some use the term INsourcing to refer to foreign companies who buy American owned companies much as in a Leveraged Buy Out of the 80's. Slashing/carving assets, cutting employee payrolls they have the same tactics as OUTsourcing by major US companies who take jobs overseas. We use the term INsourcing to mean we INvest in the sources of our success: Staff, Customers and Community.
We want to profile successful companies who invest in their staff/vendors/contractors, their customers and their community. Successful here means profitable and with steady growth in annual revenues. We hope we can show that companies can be successful when they create a remarkable experience for all involved.
