Africa is trying to make a name for itself in the global offshore outsourcing marketplace. As with other locations in the world, the citizens of the African continent are very interested in the billions of dollars that multinational corporations can offer in trade for services.
What makes africa
a viable option? Language for one. Command of the English language is generally strong. In addition, while a North American might detect an accent, it would normally not pose a problem in communication.
In addition, according to Anton Groom of MBS Outsourcing, the geographic position of Africa is a benefit:
... there is also a drive to follow the sun, to allow them to offer services 24/7 (24 hours, seven days a week). "It therefore makes sense to have offices located in the three primary time zones,"
