Outsourcing Recruitment for the Pharma Industry
Filed in archive Outsourcing News by Carol Kendrick on March 31, 2007

The Pharmaceutical Industry is known for their move in outsourcing their R&D functions. This time, the said industry is venturing on the outsourcing recruitment sector.
The main reason why this industry is looking out for this type of outsourcing deal is to ensure that they are hiring "qualified and skilled" workers for their company. Terry Terhark, president of the RightThing explained this situation further by stating that: "Most pharmaceutical companies don't have the resources to increase their scalability to adapt with ad hoc large volumes of recruitment."
This large volume of work involved in recruitment could also be the reason why the Pharmaceutical industry also considered this option. If you are questioning the success of this venture, I think that a wait-and-see attitude would be appropriate.
