Outsourcing: Not Slowing Down

Despite news saying that companies are now opting for lesser outsourcing deals, the whole outsourcing industry is not expected to slow down for the year 2007.

This was the message delivered by Nandan Nilekani, the chief executive for software exporter Infosys Technologies. The chief executive delivered the message during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

He was also quoted stating that:
We have not seen any slowdown on outsourcing. It's not about total spending, it's about how much of that spending is being diverted for offshoring and outsourcing

That is a very interesting observation in the outsourcing industry. Though the amount of money dedicated to outsourcing is less compared than before, the number of quality outsourcing deals are much higher.
