Outsourcing Journalism
Filed in archive Outsourcing News on August 28, 2006
Journalism has now officially entered the outsourcing industry.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that correctly. Apparently, providing and editing content for companies is now seen as a good outsourcing opportunity.
This was the the subject discussed in a recent recent Hindu news article. According to the story, there are different journalism tasks that are now being outsourced. Some of these journalism tasks include:
-press releases
-writing articles
-editing articles
-designing newsletters
Media companies from America, Australia, and UK were the first one who explored journalism outsourcing and they are now adapting offshore outsourcing models. Familiarity and mastery of the English language is one of the reasons why journalism outsourcing is working for both offshoring countries and companies who wants to outsource these tasks.

Bloggers are outsourced talents as well! Look at how the blogging community has grown over just a couple of years. Talent and knowledge reside all over and outsourcing this huge pool of potential e-journalists is something that was bound to happen.
