Our very own Online Universities' blogger Michael Standaert sent me this interesting story "Outsourcing Marriage" by Radhika Sharma, an Indian writer based in san francisco.

As a multi-ethnic community, San Francisco Bay Area is very welcoming. We can find many traditions that have existed for centuries here. We can also find high-tech super-gadgetry stuff here.

Inter-continent Indian arrange marriage is one of the oldest "outsourcing" of all. Apparently, the land of the Taj Mahal and Mohandas Gandhi has more to offer than efficient call centers and affordable IT workers. It is the land where Indian-American men find their brides.

An interesting twist of a new concept: outsourcing marriage. Just on a lighter side this weekend...
