Negativity Still Exists in Outsourcing
Filed in archive Outsourcing Issues on March 26, 2007
As previously mentioned, despite the growing rate of companies implementing outsourcing as their business strategy, most employees still view as a "threat" to their jobs or careers.
This sentiment was clearly seen in the survey done by the site, JobsintheMoney. According to the said survey, most people are still sure that outsourcing would lead to their job loss. Here is the breakdown of the survey result:
53% - expressed that outsourcing threatens their jobs
29% - revealed that their positions weren't at-risk
18% - were "unsure"
These results just proves that negativity in outsourcing is never truly gone. Though that is the case, I believe that some of the skeptics in outsourcing are now starting to realize its value.
