Mercer to spend $50 million in global ops center in India

HR and consulting giant Mercer will spend 50 million dollars over the next three years to build a new unit in India. The company, in partnership with Patni Computers, will establish a global operations center in Noida to support global growth in HR.
Jess Miller, HR services president for Mercer, said, "HR outsourcing is one of the fastest growing categories globally and Mercer's planned expenditure of 50 million dollars in the new global operations center reflects its commitment to leverage global resources and maximizing growth opportunities in this category.
Miller said that Patni was selected to be the company's local partner because of its high-end back office and technical support services and similar global Footprints.
