Malaysia Gears Up as an Outsourcing Destination
Another country bites the outsourcing dust.

This time, Malaysia is set to strengthen their "outsourcing stand" in the business world. Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz, the International trade and Industry Minister remarked that they plan to prioritize Malaysia as one of the best outsourcing/offshoring destinations in the world.

The focus for this would be on shared services and outsourcing (SSO) industries. The minister also remarked that with Malaysia has several advantage over their outsourcing competitors such as:
a. revolutionary infrastructure
b. strong administrative support
c. culture adaptability of workers
d. availability of skilled workers
e. favorable government policies

These advantages mentioned were the reasons identified as to why firms considering outsourcing consider Malaysia as their offshoring/outsourcing destination. Aside from that, the government feels that they are confident enough to give India a run for its outsourcing profits.
