Lego Set to Outsource
Lego, one of the oldest name in Toy manufacturing recently announced that they are now joining the outsourcing bandwagon.
According to the Danish-based firm, they would outsource most of their production work to Flextronics, an American manufacturing firm. The outsourcing contract is set to last for 3 years. The outsourcing deal would also cause a job loss of more than 1,000 jobs.
lego mentioned that most of their European production would be moved to Eastern Europe. Alongside with that is the phasing out of the production work in Enfield, Conn.
