Japanese firms which dominates this scene are now turning to outsourcing in order to cope with the growing demand and at the same time, still have a cost-saving strategy in their business. Outsourced work are being delegated to Taiwanese companies and some Turkish firms.
Though the outsourcing practice seems to be welcome business strategy for LCD manufacturers, it has also brought about certain implications. One of which is the major question on whether or not firms should take advantage of design and manufacturing partners in order to shorten the "time-to-market" schedule as well as in filling up their product lines.
