Laptop Manufacturing Moves to Taiwan

Another manufacturing job joined the outsourcing market and this time, laptop manufacturing grabbed a seat. In fact, 4 out of 5 new Notebook Computers are now being developed in Taiwan.

Aside from notebook computers, Taiwan is also home for the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge mobile phones found in the market. Big players in the computer industry like Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. as well as mobile phone makers Nokia and Motorola are just some of the companies which have already made their "home" in Taiwan.

The outsourcing decision made by these companies were based on their goal to continually develop their products but at the same time cut back on its cost. Most companies believe that by transferring these functions in Taiwan, they would be able to achieve these goals.
