Japan Succumbs to Outsourcing Lure
Filed in archive Outsourcing News on October 19, 2006
Japan has decided to join the outsourcing wave but not as an outsourcing destination. Japan-based Information Technology (IT) companies are now outsourcing certain tasks to their fellow Asian country, China.
The reason for the outsourcing move? Labor shortage. According to companies who already have outsourcing contracts with China, they are currently experiencing a shortage of available workers in the country. This leads them to their outsourcing decision in order to fulfill the vacancies in their firms.
China on the other hand is glad that they were the chosen outsourcing destination of Japan. The country boasts of their available workers in the country which also has the ability to speak and comprehend the Japanese language. This gives them the advantage over other outsourcing destinations.
