IT Outsourcing For Extreme Sports

Filed in archive Outsourcing News on February 11, 2005

Gary Chambers was able to turn his seven-year canoeing hobby into a business. With limited resources, Chambers turned to outsourcing to start Soulbouter, a branded kayaking clothing line. With his minimal budget, he decided that the Internet would be Soulboater's main sales and marketing outlet. And with no skill and time to launch the site, he choose Sitewizard.co.uk, a company that provides affordable and comprehensive web services, to create his site.

Chambers said, "For a small company like Soulboater, time and cost are major considerations. I would have been mad not to give Sitewizard.co.uk a try." He let Sitewizard lead the development of Soulboater's website, and within 48 hours the site was fully functional.

"Outsourcing the [development of Soulboater's] internet presence and its principle sales and marketing outlet enabled me to start trading much quicker than would have other wise been possible. It is also much more cost effective than me struggling to do it myself and allowed me to concentrate on establishing the core Soulboater business," said Chambers.

At present, Soulboater has a registered domain name, company email and a professional looking website. Chambers concentrates on promoting the business, and continues to work with Sitewizard.co.uk.
