According to an industry official, companies expect ING to float their request for proposals soon and that the bank's outsourcing contract would be similar to ABN Amro's deal. Overall, the anticipated ING outsourcing contract may take a year to be settled.
Recently, ABN Amro signed a five-year global services deal with five IT vendors including India's Infosys Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Patni Computer Systems. The total value of the deal is 1.8 billion euros.
Related to this, IT services advisory firm TPI is advising seven mega contracts totaling $13 billion which will be concluded over the next two quarters. T companies including TCS, Infosys Technologies, Wipro and HCL Technologies are bidding for these multi-million contracts.
