ING signs MoU with LogicaCMG

LogicaCMG and ING have signed a six-year, outsourcing activities MoU estimated at over 200 million euro. The outsourcing deal is for application development, application maintenance and testing of IT systems.

Under the agreement, approximately 350 ING employees based in the Netherlands will join LogicaCMG. The employees will continue to work for ING as well as other LogicaCMG financial services customers.

Paul Schuyt, chief executive of LogicaCMG in Netherlands, said, "Through the conclusion of this contract with ING, we will not only significantly strengthen our position in the important financial services market, but we will also further develop our outsourcing capabilities. We are looking forward to welcoming the ING employees to LogicaCMG. LogicaCMG will be working closely with ING to ensure the smooth transition of these employees."

KPO or Knowledge Process Outsourcing is the new buzzword.

KPO promises to be the next big thing in the outsourcing sector. It’s an estimate according to a report by (Global Sourcing) KPO or Knowledge Process Outsourcing business is supposed to touch $17 billion by 2010 of which at least 70 per cent or $12 billion is to be outsourced to India. More then 300,000 new jobs are required from the current 25,000. Many companies are planning to develop KPO segment due to this.
