IBM Daksh Sets Up BTOs
IBM Daksh will set up three business transformation outsourcing (BTO) delivery centers in India. BTO centers are more profitable and valuable than their BPO counterparts because they provide a comprehensive set of services which leads to a pre-decided output.
The new BTOs will be built in the cities of Pune, Chandigarh and Kolkata and will accommodate 2,100 employees once finished. The Chandigarh and Kolkata delivery centers will provide customer care services, while the Pune unit will offer high-end services (technical support, hardware support, customer care, insurance subrogation).
Sanjeev Aggarwal, CEO of IBM Daksh, said, "The launching of our operations in Pune, Kolkata and Hyderabad ushers in the second version of business process outsourcing in tier-II cities, from metros."
