From Unskilled Workers to Skilled Workers

Supply, as mentioned is not a worry when outsourcing in India. The problem lies however, in the availability of "skilled workers" in this favorable outsourcing destination.
To solve the said problem, National Association of Software and Service Companies or NASSCOM announced that they would implement a standardized test of some sort. The standardized examination dubbed as the NASSCOM Assessment of Competence (NAC) would help in screening and eventually training workers in India to be competent as an outsourcing worker. The test measures seven areas which includes analytical and communication skills.
NASSCOM's plans have received positive feedbacks coming from outsourcing providers and India's local government as well. The implementation of a "standardized assessment tool" would enable India to convert their labor force to productive outsourcing workers.
