Several analysts from India think it would be a good idea for Europe to start outsourcing to India more often.
Reasons for European countries to being to aggressively considering outsourcing are:
- EU as a whole is short of 7 lakh (700,000) knowledge workers
- EU's is an aging population.
However, inspite of the obvious advantages (reduced labor cost, high quality of work), it's unlikely that a giant swell of outsourcing from Europe will begin immediately. A few of the most clear reasons for this include:
- The more powerful European countries have the reputation of being unfriendly to immigrants
- European language skills such as German or French are uncommon in India
