According to Epson executive vice president and chief financial officer Toshio Kumura, India would be the primary choice for software development intended for electronic devices being developed
for commercial purposes. At present, the company works with Wipro, but may also partner with Infosys and TCS to develop future products. Products being developed include the flexible electrophoretic watch, radio frequency activated ID tags, super smart cards, finger print sensors and electronic paper.
In addition, Kumura shared the company's new tag line: 'exceed your vision'. The tagline repositions Epson as company that produces more than Xprinters.
