Efficiency Rather than Cost-Saving in ITO
Most companies would rather turn to IT Outsourcing rather than deal with this particular function. In fact, its much more important than cost-saving.
This was revealed in the research done by Info-Tech Research Group. According to the research, 66% of the companies who participated in the study said that they prefer efficiency in their IT outsourcing hence their decision to outsource their IT operations. On the other hand, only 34% of the companies remarked that cost-saving was their driving force behind their IT outsourcing.
This kind of attitude in outsourcing just reflects the trust that these companies have over outsourcing. Before, this kind of attitude is not evident because of the doubts plaguing this business strategy. I think that this is a good sign for the outsourcing industry in general and not just ITO.
