Delta Airlines, the third largest carrier is now bent on asking a bankruptcy judge to consider outsourcing for the airline company.

According to Delta, they are considering outsourcing their computer system operations to IBM rather than keep it in-house. If the outsourcing plan would push through, about 200 employees out of the 1,800 workers in Delta's technical unit would be affected.

Betsy Talton, the spokeswoman for the company said that if this proposal would be approved, it would result to "substantial savings"-something that the airline company needs at the moment.
