Danger in Outsourcing Growth
Despite studies and surveys saying that outsourcing is headed for growth, there are still some news saying the opposite.

Mr Indraneel Banerjee, the project director of Technology Partners International mentioned that the value of outsourcing contracts is declining as compared to the same quarter last year. He mentioned this particular insight during the seminar entitled "The Changing BPO Landscape: Can India become a knowledge services hub?".

On the other hand, Mr Lakshmi Narayanan, the chairman of Nasscom and vice-chairman of Cognizant Technology Solutions mentioned that this should not be a worry. He stated that "often BPO companies move up the value-chain driven by demand that comes from customers. In response, they build the capabilities to service those demands. bpos also move up the value-chain by proactively coming up with solutions."
