Communicating the Outsourcing Way

One of the most important part of an outsourcing transaction is their communication methods and other factors which could affect this communication channel. This is important because it helps both parties in understanding and knowing each other's needs and problems.
This topic was also mentioned by the author Parul Mehta. The author discussed the importance of communication and recognizing the different factors of communications. Some of the factors are:
-Culture
-Expectations of employees
-Assimilation
-Relationship building
-Training
-Evaluation
-Identifying milestones
-effective communication
Through identifying these factors, both companies and outsourcing vendors would have an idea on what area to work on as well as the different strategies to make it more effective.

Hi Carol,
I could not agree more with communication being the key. And of your list, I find ‘expectations; to be the main factor. PRIOR TO any sourcing relationship, having and communicating expectations in every area of the process is paramount – and lack of, the largest contributor to failure.
We have started a new sourcing blog as well, and one of our first topics is a series on this exact content.
