Software Outsourcing India Blog identified these common problems. Here are some of the problems that were mentioned:
1. Users are not very clear in regards to their exact needs. Most of the specifications given to Software Development Outsourcing vendors are rough and very sketchy.
2. Due to some problematic ambiguities Offshore Software Outsourcing service providers are not in good position to understand the better scope of development work.
Being aware of these problems is a vital part in the solving process. In order to prevent larger problems, identifying these common problems in software development outsourcing should be done at the start of the transaction.

Also few users are completely ignorant about the actual process of software development and they tend to start adding many things to be done within the fixed cost proposal and quick time.

Another factor to consider when calculating the costs of outsourcing a software problem is how quickly the problem can be resolved by outsourcing as opposed to handling the problem in-house. This will depend on the capabilities and availability of the in-house staff. If there is not a capable staff member available it may take significantly longer to handle the problem in-house.
