Bush Outsourcing Hopes
India looks forward to George W. Bush's second term as president. At present, the country earns about $8.3 billion in outsourcing revenues from the US, and with Bush's re-election, India expects more growth through favorable outsourcing policies.
Wipro Spectramind head, Raman Roy, is excited about Bush' re-election. With this Continuity, Roy hopes that more companies will move their operations offshore to India where costs are lower.
Kiran Kanik of the lobby group, National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom), expects Bush to support outsourcing by reducing visa restrictions and rejecting protectionist policies. Kanik says, "We see Mr. Bush as a strong supporter of free trade. He is good news for India."
