British Unions: No to Outsourcing

British unions are expressing their profound disagreement over the latest task being outsourced today. Here is an excerpt of the said news:
The UK's administration of TV licence fees, which incidentally has been rising every year, will be moved to India. The move has the approval of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the beneficiary of the fee that totals up to millions of pounds annually. The processing of TV licenses was outsourced to private firm Capita by the BBC.
The union is currently urging their 200 members to go on strike. Aside from that, the union also encouraged their members from not paying the said fees through direct debit.
Over the years, more and more tasks in TV and media are being outsourced and the addition of the TV licence fees just added fuel to the ongoing tension. The Communication Workers Union (CWU) spokesman, Kevin Slocombe remarked that outsourcing raises a lot of security issues which results to bringing back the outsourced function. Some of these security issues mentioned includes identity frauds and security breaches.

The Brits wont be able to keep it up. Sooner or later, cheap labor and rising prices will make them outsource…
