BPO and IT Outsourcing: Expanding

Tasks which are commonly outsourced nowadays could be divided into two parts: it outsourcing and BPO.

Research company Nelson Hall showed that IT outsourcing takes up 62% of the outsourcing market in Europe. IT outsourcing was considered as the first tasks outsourced and based on this research, we could stay that IT outsourcing is still practiced.

BPO, on the other hand deals with other tasks such as HR, finance and accounting, procurement and customer call centers. Though BPO only came second to IT outsourcing, Datamonitor predicts a high growth potential for this industry. According to Nelson Hall, BPO accounts for 38% of the outsourced tasks.

Based on the research results mentioned, we could see that these two kinds of outsourcing are really destined to expand.
