Dinesh Keskar, Boeing's VP of international sales, said the deal requires Boeing to spend about $1.8 billion on investments in India's aviation sector. He added that investments will go to software work for onboard computers for the planes, manufacturing parts for the aircraft and pilot training.
Keskar said that Boeing is already working with India's Hindustan Aeronautics
Ltd. to identify possible manufacturing ventures. Keskar: "The scale is going to go up for them naming some of the companies as HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro Ltd. We are also going to look at engineering services." Image Source: www.satellite-internet.ro
