Outsourcing News

BMW is considering building a manufacturing site in India and may finalize plans of entering the Indian market this year. According to Helmut Panke, BMW chairman of the management board, India offered good prospects for the company and BMW was holding Concrete talks on different options.
Just last February 2004, Panke said that it could be years before BMW moved production to India. However, Panke's recent comments reveal that BMW is speeding up production plans in India. The car giant may form a partnership with a local company as it did in Russia, China and Thailand.
With this, India is on its way to becoming the tech-outsourcing hub of the world as companies choose the country for their tech-related manufacturing needs.

Its not just cheap labour...There are many reason behind this...India have good infrastucture as well as Technology in IT and manufacturing....Now a days SSIs also using CNC machines...MNCS get good source of cheap labour as well as,source of material, sources of IT related products, local industries to help in production, good infrastructure...Also BMW can get good selling market in India...

Thanks for sharing the information. No doubt India is emerging as the best place for outsourcing services because of the high quality talent available comparatively at the lower price.
