Look at how much money you make a year and then divide that by amount of hours you have available to work. That is what you are worth per hour. Any job that you can pay someone else to do for less than you are worth per hour is worth outsourcing. For example, ordering groceries online may cost you an extra $20, but if it saves you 2 hours and if you are worth more than $10 an hour, you should be ordering online.
Even if you have nothing else to do with your time, it is still probably worth it because you must remember there is great value to rest and have fun. Even if you just watch TV instead of running to the grocery store, that relaxation will probably pay off when you go back to work. And if you are really worried about wasting time, then do something constructive with your time rather than watching TV or buying groceries.
If you run a business, outsourcing is extremely important. For every job you do, think about whether or not someone else can do it for you for less than you are worth per hour. Also, think about whether or not you doing that task is where you should be spending your energy. Your goal should be to spend most of your time on jobs that create the most value, that are not easy for others to do, and that are most directly related to you achieving your goals. If you find your self spending your time doing tasks that are not the most valuable use of your time, outsource by paying someone else to do the work for you.
