Accenture, one of the biggest names in the outsourcing industry recently announced their intention of investing more on the development of service-oriented architecture applications or SOA. SOA was described as a modular software design which would help in maintaining and writing business applications.
The outsourcing firm mentioned that they would allot an estimate amount of $450 million dollars for the next three years. The fund would focus on two primary industries: health care and financial services.
Accenture's chief technology officer Don Rippert mentioned the reason on why they selected the Health care industry. According to Rippert, the industry was a "fast-growing area" and turning their attention in this direction would improve their future outsourcing investments and the industry as well.
