A Year of Security Problems

A Year of Security Problems

2006 have shown a lot of security problems in terms of outsourcing deals and contracts. Some of the security problems evident in this year could be described in the following context:

Loss of valuable data – Outsourcing entails having access to sensitive data like credit card details and verification data. Outsourcing employees are also able to have access to this information thus making it easy for them to get money from these accounts.

Buy and Sell of Data – In other cases, the stealing of such money are not done by outsourcing employees but "professionals" who have gained such access from the same employees. Instead of doing the dirty work, they sell these information to other people for a price.

Though these incidents damaged the outsourcing reputation, there are now programs established by NASSCOM which would prevent this kind of security cases.
