A Different View in Outsourcing
Filed in archive Opinions & Insights on May 29, 2007
Most people coming from the first-world countries are really bitter and aggressive when they encounter the word "outsourcing" in their companies. Though they may have a good reason to be so, these people should also consider the other side of the story which could pertain to the benefits of outsourcing.
India is one of the countries which have experienced the tremendous change in their country ever since outsourcing have landed in their country. Aside from fresh graduates, outsourcing has also opened doors for the disabled persons here in India.
This subject was featured in this news article entitled A call centre with a difference wherein they feature a different kind of call center wherein all of the employees are blind.
It touches my heart to see that less privileged people are given a chance to work and earn something for themselves-something that most people just take advantage of. Though outsourcing would still be a negative thing for other people, I hope that knowing this story could lessen the angst that most people have towards outsourcing.
